Promoting effective contacts with municipal elected officials

Community Contact Team members are mobilized as the “voice of real estate” to communicate with designated elected officials when a key issue is being considered. By working together on quality contacts within municipalities, REALTORS® help shape public policy.

In order for PAR and your local association understand a municipal elected official’s point-of-view on an issue, Community Contact Team members are asked to file an Elected Official Visit Form after relevant municipal meetings and one-on-one visits.

Want to become involved, but don’t know your elected officials personally? Don’t worry, PAR provides coaching and guidance to help build a relationship and meet with your municipal leaders.
