Mission & Governance
PAR’s mission is a simple one: To assist real estate professionals by creating favorable change, meeting the needs of its practitioners and advocating the preservation of real property rights.
PAR aims to ensure that REALTORS® are essential to consumers and that membership in PAR is essential to real estate licensees.
PAR exists to promote good business practices and profitability among REALTORS®.
The 34,500-member Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS® is governed by a 220-member board of directors, composed entirely of REALTORS®, and operates according to bylaws established by the board.

PAR GOALS AND STRATEGIES
Goal 1: REALTORS® must validate their professionalism.
Strategy 1: Position PAR as a resource to the State Real Estate Commission and State Legislature.
Strategy 2: Communicate effectively with Members about what professionalism means.
Strategy 3: Strengthen relationships with local associations by seeking out partnership opportunities and by providing tools to communicate the message of professionalism.
Strategy 4: Foster consumers’ expectations about real estate transactions
Goal 2: Keep REALTORS® at the center of the transaction.
Strategy 1: Define “center of transaction.”
Strategy 2: Foster REALTORS®’ perception of their value.
Strategy 3: Foster consumers’ perception of the value of using a REALTOR®.
Strategy 4: Identify business models that provide options for REALTORS® in assigning value to their time and services.
