Promoting effective contacts with legislators

Key Contact Team members are mobilized as the “voice of real estate” to communicate with designated state legislators when a key issue is being considered. By working together on quality contacts with crucial legislators, REALTORS® help shape public policy.

When a real estate issue is being considered in the legislature, key contact team members are notified by a Call-to-Action. It is important that key contacts know how to respond when this alert is delivered.

In order to help PAR understand a legislators point-of-view on an issue, key contact team members are asked to file a Legislative Visit Form after each visit.

Want to become involved, but don’t know your legislator personally? Don’t worry, PAR provides coaching and guidance to help build a relationship with your legislator. Even seasoned pros can benefit from tips on how to correspond, meet with, and telephone elected officials.
